What is bribery? The act of taking or receiving something with the intention of influencing the recipient in some way favorable to the party providing the bribe.
Under most state criminal codes, bribery is a crime involving the corruption of public officials. Anyone who gives a public servant money or other valuables in exchange for services in a specified way or any public servant who accepts money or other valuables to act in a specified way is guilty of bribery.

THE NORQUIST PLEDGE AND THOSE WHO SIGNED IT IS PRIMA FACIE EVIDENCE OF BRIBERY. Prima facie evidence is a legal term used to mean that you have enough evidence to prove something by pointing to some basic facts.
