Why would any person want to be a member of an organization that thinks shooting dumb animals in the back is being a good sportsman? We inhabit the earth with billions of other organisms; why would you want to kill any of them that were not trying to kill you?
If states can pass Right to Work Laws to reduce membership in unions, why can’t we reduce membership in the NRA using similar tactics? How can anything be more shameful than shooting an animal that you think you are smarter than it is by hiding behind a blind and shooting it when it comes for a drink of water; and then mounting its head on your wall? How dumb can you be, Mr. sportsman? You think your are so smart! Most animals at birth or shortly there after can find their own food, and you have to have a crutch for 26 years and two college degrees before you can find your own food. How can you go to Church on Sunday, and pray to a God for blessings when you shot your fellow creature on Saturday? If I were God, I wouldn’t bless you; I would send you straight to hell for an hour of punishment.
When the amendments to the Constitution were sent to the states for ratification, the Right to Bear Arms was number four. It became the Second Amendment because the first two Amendments were not ratified. What the Second Amendment means may not be important. Congress still has the power to control guns. It should first pass some laws making it hard to be a member of gun associations.
We, the people, need to make it a ‘kiss of death’ for any politician to be supported by the NRA. We should anathematize the ‘NRA’. Congress can then do the job they were elected do, and not take bribes from Grover Norquist or the NRA for not doing the job they were elected to do.
The Optimist Creed states: Promise Yourself–To wear a cheerful countenance at all times and give every living creature you meet a smile. And I would like to say, don’t shoot it or join the anathematized NRA!
